2026 年 8 月 8 日，聖地牙哥中華藝術文化學會（San Diego Chinese Art & Cultural Society, SDCACS）帶領會員及社區朋友前往洛杉磯，展開一整天的洛杉磯郡立美術館（Los Angeles County Museum of Art, LACMA）藝術建築之旅。這場精心規劃的文化行程融合藝術欣賞、建築探索、導覽學習與社區交流，為不同年齡層的參與者帶來充實而難忘的一天。

活動一早從聖地牙哥出發，團員集合後搭乘遊覽車北上前往洛杉磯。出發前，主辦團隊貼心準備了早餐袋與瓶裝水，讓大家舒適地展開一天的旅程。前往洛杉磯途中，團員也透過車上導讀，進一步了解 LACMA 的背景以及當天的參觀重點，為接下來的美術館之旅暖身。

抵達 LACMA 後，大家先一起留下團體合影，隨後展開當天的參觀行程。本次活動的一大亮點，是親身走訪由國際知名建築師彼得・卒姆托(Peter Zumthor) 設計的全新 David Geffen Galleries。流線而開闊的曲線造型，以及寬敞獨特的展覽空間，讓參與者在欣賞館藏作品之餘，也能感受建築本身所帶來的藝術魅力。

為了提供更深入且互動良好的參觀體驗，SDCACS 特別將團員分為兩個小組（Group A 與 Group B）展開 1.5 小時的精華導覽，並由隨隊協助人員在隊伍末端把控節奏。上午時段，Group A 聚焦於 David Geffen Galleries 周邊環境與公共藝術，Group B 則探索 Main Bldg 藝術品展區。在專業導覽人員與隨隊人員的帶領下，大家以舒適的步調穿梭展區，細細品味精選作品、展覽內涵與新館建築之美；行程中若有提早結束的團員，亦可逕行自由活動。

這場精彩的一日遊，是 SDCACS 志工團隊歷經數月籌備的結晶。從接洽 LACMA 參觀細節、妥善安排交通餐飲，到規劃導覽與活動流程，團隊無不傾注全力。籌備期間，工作人員更親赴 LACMA 實地勘查，仔細確認遊覽車動線、館區環境與戶外用餐場地，力求為參與者打造最流暢舒適的體驗。

上午的導覽告一段落後，眾人齊聚 LACMA 園區享用精緻的午餐便當。這段輕鬆的戶外野餐時光，不僅讓大家得以休憩、分享上午的參觀心得，更在談笑間凝聚了溫馨熱絡的社群情誼。午後，兩組隨即交換地點繼續探索（Group A 移至 Main Bldg 藝術品展區，Group B 則前往 David Geffen Galleries 周邊環境與公共藝術）。隨後的自由參觀時間，讓大家能重返喜愛展區、發掘新作品，或漫步於館區之中，細細感受 LACMA 獨特的建築美學與環境氛圍。

一整天的行程結合了有系統的導覽與自由探索，不僅具有教育意義，也充滿輕鬆愉快的交流。活動同時展現了 SDCACS 一直以來對文化活動品質的重視。從交通、美術館安排、餐飲，到團體聯繫及導覽學習，每個環節都經過細心規劃，希望讓參與者在舒適自在的氛圍中，獲得豐富而有意義的藝術文化體驗。

下午離開 LACMA 後，團員前往 Laguna Hills 享用圓桌晚宴。大家在輕鬆的餐敘中分享當天最喜愛的作品與參觀心得，也再次享受彼此陪伴與交流的時光，之後才踏上返回聖地牙哥的歸途。

此次 2026 LACMA 藝術建築巴士一日遊不只是一趟美術館參訪，更是一場結合藝術欣賞、建築、教育與社區交流的文化旅程。透過共同欣賞藝術、分享感受與交流互動，SDCACS 再次以藝術為橋梁，為社區創造彼此連結的珍貴機會。

SDCACS Brings the San Diego Community to LACMA for a Journey of Art, Architecture, and Connection

On August 8, 2026, the San Diego Chinese Art & Cultural Society (SDCACS) brought members and friends of the San Diego community to Los Angeles for a full-day art and architecture excursion to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The thoughtfully planned cultural trip combined art appreciation, architectural exploration, guided learning, and fellowship, creating a memorable experience for participants of all ages.

The day began early in San Diego as participants gathered to board a charter bus for the journey north. Breakfast bags and bottled water were distributed before departure, helping everyone start the day comfortably. During the ride to Los Angeles, participants received background information about LACMA and the day’s program, setting the stage for the museum experience ahead.

Upon arriving at LACMA, the group gathered for photos before beginning the museum visit. A major highlight of the trip was the opportunity to experience the David Geffen Galleries, LACMA’s striking new building designed by internationally renowned architect Peter Zumthor. With its sweeping curved form and expansive gallery spaces, the building offered participants the opportunity to appreciate not only the artworks inside, but also the architecture itself.

To provide a more immersive and interactive experience, SDCACS divided participants into two groups (Group A and Group B) for a 1.5-hour highlighted tour, with assistant staff tailing the groups to manage the pace. In the morning session, Group A focused on the David Geffen Galleries surrounding environment and public arts, while Group B explored the Main Bldg artworks exhibit. Led by professional docents and supported by accompanying staff, participants navigated the galleries at a comfortable pace to discover curated artworks, exhibition highlights, and the new building's architectural design. Early finishers were free to explore at their own leisure.

This meticulously planned day trip is the culmination of months of dedication by the SDCACS volunteer team. From coordinating group tour details with LACMA and organizing transportation and catering, to designing the tour format and managing event logistics, the team poured endless effort into the endeavor. During the planning phase, staff even conducted advance site visits to LACMA to verify bus drop-off routes, venue layouts, and ideal outdoor dining spots, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for everyone.

Following the morning tour, participants gathered in the LACMA gardens to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared bento box lunch. This relaxed outdoor lunch hour provided a wonderful opportunity to unwind, share morning impressions, and chat with fellow members, capturing the warm and vibrant community spirit reflected in photos of everyone dining and laughing together.

In the afternoon, the two groups swapped locations to continue their exploration (Group A moved to the Main Bldg artworks exhibit, while Group B headed to the David Geffen Galleries surrounding environment and public arts). The subsequent free-time allowed participants to revisit their favorite galleries, discover new pieces, or simply stroll through the grounds to soak in LACMA’s unique architecture and environment.

Throughout the day, the combination of structured guidance and independent exploration created an experience that was both educational and enjoyable. The experience also reflected SDCACS’s goal of creating a cultural program that was both enriching and thoughtfully organized. From transportation and museum arrangements to meals, group communication, and guided learning, the event was designed to provide participants with a comfortable and meaningful cultural experience. The original planning emphasized creating an art and cultural outing that was both attentive to guests and rich in value.

After leaving LACMA in the afternoon, the group traveled to Laguna Hills for a celebratory round-table dinner. The gathering gave participants another opportunity to relax, share highlights from the museum visit, and enjoy one another’s company before beginning the final journey back to San Diego.

The 2026 LACMA Art and Architecture Bus Tour was more than a day at a museum. By combining art appreciation, architecture, education, and community connection, SDCACS transformed the excursion into a shared cultural journey and another meaningful opportunity to bring people together through the arts.
