加州聖地亞哥中華藝術文化學會第三十一屆青少年美術比賽圓滿落幕，展現青少年藝術才華
【聖地牙哥訊】2025年3月8日，加州聖地牙哥中華藝術文化學會於中華歷史博物館隆重舉行第三十一屆青少年美術比賽頒獎儀式，表彰在本次比賽中脫穎而出的優秀青少年藝術家，並展出所有獲獎作品。本次比賽吸引了來自聖地牙哥地區七所華裔美術學校、美術教室及個人參賽者，共計254幅作品參賽，參賽者年齡為5到17歲，充分展現了本地青少年在藝術領域的蓬勃創造力。
學會為確保藝術比賽的專業性與公正性，誠摯地邀請了聖地牙哥美術館社區教育主任Deidre Guevara、聖地牙哥美術館藝術家協會主席Jim Bliesner，及聖地牙哥水彩協會教育推廣主任Carol Van Vooren擔任評審。為進一步提升比賽的公平性，本次比賽採用線上報名及註冊號碼追蹤作品的方式，實現了匿名評選。
本次比賽成果豐碩，254件作品中評選出85件優秀作品，其中27件榮獲大獎，58件獲得小獎。所有獲獎作品已於聖地牙哥中華歷史博物館隆重展出，供民眾一睹青少年藝術家的風采。為了讓全球觀眾也能欣賞這些傑出作品，主辦單位更精心打造了線上美術館，讓聖地牙哥 青少年 藝術能達到 世界上的每一角落。更令人振奮的是，本次比賽與聖地牙哥美術館展開了深度合作，大獎得主將獲邀參與美術館青年藝術比賽的開幕盛典，這不僅是至高榮譽，更是他們與藝術菁英交流學習的寶貴機會。
加州聖地牙哥中華藝術文化學會會長張瓊芳女士表示，學會始終致力於推廣中華藝術與文化，豐富社區生活。本次美術比賽不僅為青少年提供了展示才華的平台，也促進了本地藝術交流與發展。
展望未來，下一屆美術比賽的主題已定為「中國山水」，鼓勵參賽者以多元視角詮釋這一傳統題材。此外，學會還將圍繞「中國山水」主題舉辦一系列活動，包括藝術展覽、線上講座、實體活動等，為社區帶來豐富多彩的藝術體驗。

31st Annual Youth Art Competition Concludes Successfully. Showcasing Young Artistic Talent
On March 8, 2025, the San Diego Chinese Art and Cultural Society (SDCACS), held the award ceremony for its 31st Annual Youth Art Competition at the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum. The event honored outstanding young artists who stood out in the competition and featured an exhibition of all winning pieces. The competition attracted 254 entries from seven Chinese art schools, studios, and individual participants in the San Diego area, with participants ranging in age from 5 to 17. It highlighted the vibrant creativity of local youth in the field of art.
To ensure professionalism and fairness, the SDCACS invited distinguished judges including Deidre Guevara, Director of Community Education at the San Diego Museum of Art; Jim Bliesner, President of the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild; and Carol Van Vooren, Director of Educational Outreach at the San Diego Watercolor Society. To further enhance fairness, the competition adopted an online registration system with tracking numbers for each artwork, enabling anonymous judging.
The competition yielded impressive results: 85 outstanding works were selected from the 254 entries, including 27 Jury Choice Awards and 58 Honorable Mentions. All winning pieces were grandly exhibited at the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum, allowing the public to admire the talents of these young artists. To make these remarkable works accessible to a global audience, the organizers also created a virtual art gallery, allowing San Diego’s youth art to reach every corner of the world.
Even more exciting, this year’s competition featured a deep collaboration with the San Diego Museum of Art. Grand prize winners will be invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the museum’s Youth Art Competition—a prestigious honor and a valuable opportunity to learn and exchange ideas with elite artists.
Ms. Jojo Ni, President of the San Diego Chinese Art and Cultural Society, stated that the Society remains committed to promoting Chinese art and culture while enriching community life. This art competition not only provided a platform for young people to showcase their talents but also fostered local artistic exchange and development.
Looking ahead, the theme for next year’s competition has been set as “Sentient of Shanshui”, encouraging participants to interpret this traditional subject from diverse perspectives. Additionally, the Society will host a series of events around the theme—including art exhibitions, online lectures, and in-person activities—bringing a rich array of artistic experiences to the community.
The Society warmly invites the public to actively participate in these events and encourages everyone to join as members, contributing together to the promotion of Chinese culture and the enrichment of community life.
